METHODOLOGY

1. On-site Interview

​

Interviews were recorded using the Zoom H4n Handy Recorder.

​

2. Interview Editing

​

Interviews were spliced in Adobe Premiere Pro. Audio was cleaned in Adobe Audition.

​

3. Storyboarding

​

Animatics were created in Adobe After Effects.

​

4. Stop-Motion Filming

​

All paper puppets were hand-painted with watercolors on Strathmore 400 Series Watercolor Paper and articulated with brass pins. These characters were then filmed under a Canon EOS Rebel T5i to produce stop-motion animations.

​

The filming apparatus consisted of:

• Two Manfrotto MS0490A Nanopole Stands

• Two F&V Z180S UltraColor Bi-Color LED Video Lights

• One Manfrotto 755XB MDEVE Aluminum Tripod with Built in 50mm Ball Leveler

​

Dragonframe 4 was used for image capture.

​

5. Film Editing

​

Film editing was done in Adobe After Effects.

​

6. Sound Effects

​

Sound effects were downloaded from freesound.org. 

​

​
